@Paperbagprincess14:  Read “Why We Get Fat”. I’m reading it right now and I highly recommend it for explaining why some people don’t lose weight and/or gain weight despite their better efforts.

I’d also say maybe you could try Whole 30. A lot of people have had success doing it, so maye that’d be worth a shot.

You say you got labwork back…did you get a thyroid panel done? Sounds to me like that could be the issue.

Are you on an antidepressant? Some of those will keep you from losing any weight (like wellbutrin…), and other psych drugs can do it to (like abilify….awful stuff).

If you are truly doing everything in your power- your calories/fiber/fat/protein are on track for weight loss, and you’re exercising regularly- you might consider a prescription, like some have said. You might also consider a lap band. Be aware that both will mean intense lifestyle changes.

In my profession, I’ve seen a lot of people say they’re doing EVERYTHING- and truly believe it- but what they’re recording does not match up with what they’re actually doing. It’s easy to be in denial. Only you know this, and I’m not accusing or anything- it’s just that weight is so tied up in self worth, it’s easy for people to deny, deny, deny. I have a patient that is convinced she is losing weight and getting healthier, and she has gained 20 lbs in the last two months.

Also, I know this is probably not advice that most people will agree with, but give yourself some caffeine here and there. I’m tired all the time without it too, and not just because I have  a mild addiction. It’s a legal stimulant that can increase your metabolism and help you with workout endurance. Just keep it to natural sources and don’t go overboard.

@Paperbagprincess14:  I have very low iron, I tried being a vegetarian but I couldn’t maintain it. I ended up having to go in and get iron shots every week. It’s very common amongst women. My birth control used to have iron pills in it to help.

I would reccomend a supplement. I take one everyday and if that doesn’t work look into getting the shots until you get balanced. You will feel a million times better.
