We’re doing a multi-city theme for our engagement party. There will be 4 stations featuring 4 cities – NYC, Buffalo, Washington DC, and Nashville. Each city will feature food and decor from that city. I am looking for the iconic “I Love NY” but in a large poster size, at least 16″ x 20″. I have come across designs with “I love NY” and “I love DC” and the other cities on http://www.cafepress.com and http://www.zazzle.com, but I’m not finding them in large poster sizes.
My idea is to have a “I love (city)” poster hanging behind each station so the guests can easily identify the 4 cities, and then supplement the main poster with either addtional images of that city or other heart designs. The heart would tie each city together and go along with an overall heart/love theme.
Anyone know of poster websites I can scour through? Or how do I go about getting a custom logo made? The logo seems simple enough – the letter “I” followed by a heart, followed by the name or abbreviation of the city. Then I’d have to get it printed poster sized.

If you can find the logo I would try going to kinko’s or staples they should be able to blow it up for you!

You could actually do these yourself in MS Word – set the page up to be the finished size of your poster, and then use a typewriter font (like Courier) and the heart dingbat in Symbol font (both of which should come as defaults in your computer) to set the text. (Or download fonts from dafont.com, if you don’t like the ones you have.) Then just take them to Kinko’s or Staples for printing.
Or, put up an Alchemy request on Etsy – these are lots of graphic designers on there who could do these.
Love the multi-city theme!

I tried playing around on MS Word and PowerPoint last night, but the heart dingbat looks warped when I make it a large size. I actually came across an “I (heart)” clipart available on http://www.vistaprint.com, so I will try playing around on there. Their posters are only $6.99 so it’s worth a try to see if it turns out.
Thanks for the suggestion about Etsy. I had never heard of it until I started searching for invitations and I wasn’t sure how to use it to it’s full potential.
