My man and I are going to have a very small wedding party with one person standing up for each of us. I am going to ask my best friend since high school. We’ve shared many memories through college and beyond. This girl is very my sister and best friend. Looking for a great fun way to ask her and let her know how much she truely means to me. I have oodles of pictures I can utilize as well. Anyone have some thoughts?

If I were your friend, I would want to be asked to my face and not through some “other” way. Maybe a nice gift to accompany it, but not via another communication medium. There is nothing more personal than a face to face conversation.

i would take her to dinner at her favorite restaurant and maybe adorn her with a nice bracelet or necklace. i gave my moh a pandora bracelet with both of our birthstones on it. just a thought.

I tried to be creative and amusing while being broke at the same time, lol.
I spoke with the manager of a really great local ice cream shop, and asked her to help me out. My best friends actually know me mostly by my high school nickname “Guzzy,” which is the name of a little cartoon character I made up and constantly draw. The manager at the ice cream store made up a flavor called “Guzzy’s Girls,” and put it on a big message board as the flavor of the day, along with a sketch of my character. She then reserved some extra large ice cream cups, also with my character on them. I took my future bridesmaids to the shop, told them it was my treat, and asked them once we were seated with our ice cream. They knew something was up as soon as they walked in the door, but they thought it was quite a hoot!
You may or may not have an awesome local shop that will do something like that, but it’s definately an idea you can take and run with. And it never hurts to ask places for ideas, either. The manager at the shop I went to said she’d done something very similar a few months earlier for a young man wanting to propose to his lady.

Since i have known most of my Bridesmaids since high school i took an old high school picture and made them a hand made card along with decorated cookie jars. I met them all up for breakfast and i handed them their presents.. it was really cute to see a couple of them tear up once they read the card. Maybe you can do something hand made to ask her, then get her a nice bracelet or necklace as her gift.. later on.. just a thought!
