A brick wall. Haha.
A brick wall. Haha.
Looking out my window at work I see the roof level of our parking garage, and the county courthouse. It’s overcast outside.
The district courthouse across the street. And the construction worker doing some work on the steps. Nothing too exciting, but better than my usual work view of the back of this old man’s head who runs the parking lot next door – and is never without a cigar in his mouth.
I see the little courtyard and the hallway that is across the courtyard from my hallway. Nothing too interesting 🙂
At work I see the highway, greenery, and one of our garages. The other day I saw a rainbow after the rain. It was kind of a treat 🙂
I’m home sick today, so from my bedroom window I see….office buildings and residential condos. I miss my former lake view apartment sometimes!
I have no windows near my desk…therefore my view is my computer screen 🙁
My view is the lobby of the medical center where I work. No windows leading to outside 🙁
Front yard, white oak tree 🙂
I-4, downtown highrises, federal courthouses, and the corner of the Amway Center.
The Maple Tree on our front lawn is changing colours… from Summertime Green to hints of Yellow & Orange
As beautiful as the show of colour is (will be)… it also makes me very sad, because it clearly says that Summer is over now, and we are into Fall.
Fall may be pretty… but it is also a season that is ultimately colder, damper, wettier, rainy, grey, lonely and sad.
I am not looking forward to 30 days from now (after Canadian Thanksgiving) when the leaves are gone and things are soooo bleak (generally mid October to early December)… until the snow comes and the white light brightens things up again.
Oh how I wish this was April, and we were just at the beginning of the cycle that is Spring & Summer vs being here at the end, enterring the cycle that is Fall & Winter.
My feelings on this subject, get more pronounced the older I get. There really is a good reason that most Canadian Retirees are snowbirds !!
The brightness & warmth of sunshine is a very positive, uplifting, life giving element, as we age, we cannot seem to get enough of it !!
From work, (second story but big stories it’s a small office building) I can see one of the busy bustops for students (I work in a university town) who live off campus. It’s fun to watch… sometimes you see some flying down the hill trying to catch the bus and usually I silently cheer them on so they get to class on time hahaha!
It also brings me back to my student days, (I went to the university here!) although that was never my apartment complex.
Office buildings…the Washington Monument 🙂
I see my cat eating the neighbors cat’s food. And all the houses around us, we’re on the end of a cul-de-sac.
seeing as I am stuck at work – i don’t see anything no window near my cube – LIFE IS DEPRESSING!!! at least there is only 20 minutes left 🙂
