A co-worker recommended the El Dorado to me. We’re looking into Mexico too!

hooray on the honeymoon choice!  mrs. penguin went to the same resort (excellence playa mujeres) for her honeymoon and a later trip.  i’m sure other hive members will have some thoughts, and i think there were probably a few other bees who went to mexico for their honeymoons and blogged about it!

I absolutely love El Dorado Royale or El Dorado Seaside Suites. Other top choices would be Secrets Maroma or Excellence. But El Dorado Royale is my favorite. We have clients there year round, and they always come home happy.

We stayed in Puerto Vallarta, at the Dreams PV. It was lovely! You could look into the preferred tower! Goodluck!

We stayed at Zoetry and loved it.  It’s a boutique all-inclusive with all the perks you mentioned.  One of the bees stayed there too and blogged about it (recently too) but I can’t remember who!  It was fantastic and we can’t wait to go back for our 1 year anniversary.

We stayed on the Atlantic side (Excellence Playa Mujeres) and would highly recommend it to anyone. I keep meaning to write my tripadvisor review….And we got a great deal of Tripadvisor. $3,000 for 6 nights in a club level junior suite + airfare from Nashville.
