Did anyone get this after baby?
I was fine after no.1 but this time I’ve already gained 30lbs and I’m only 31 weeks. This was my total weight gain last time though I did deliver a month early so who knows what my true gain would have been.
I don’t seem to have gained any weight in the last 2 weeks but I’m really concerned about being left with excess skin.
Any ideas on prevention if they exist?
Anyone experienced this?

I was 20 when I had my first baby. Gained a lot of weight, like 30 kg (not sure what that is in pounds but it was a lot!). I carried the weight pretty evenly so my belly wasn’t huge but I got awful stretch marks and lose skin and still have them 15 months after giving birth 🙁 they have improved slightly but it’s definitely super obvious I’ve had a child lol. I suspect no amount of exercise or lotions will improve it anymore than it already is – I think surgery is the only option now but I don’t really care.. I just rock the high waisted bikinis 😉

I gained 40 lbs with my first and had no excess skin! I don’t think it’s usually a problem especially if it was slow gradual weight gain

Sorry bee, it’s extremely common and I don’t think there’s really anything you can do to prevent it.

I’ve had a look on Google and it seems more common with twins.
I’m really not bothered about getting stretch marks as at least they fade!

it all depends on your genetics. If you did okay the first time then you’ll probably do okay again. My stomach was ruined after my first. Prayer it doesn’t get worse.

Someone women get their skin elasticity to return back to normal others don’t. I was one who didn’t and it wasn’t too noticeable. I’m worried it will be worse this pregnancy.
