I would drink a lot of water!  I also had success with Weight Watchers online (but that’s been slow going). It sure made me conscious of everything I ate when I had to track the “points” each day. I did drop 5 lbs the first 2 weeks.  Only about a 1lb a week since though (but a total of 20!)

I always drop weight fast on low carb – South Beach style is better for you than Atkins (in my opinion!). The first couple weeks are mostly water weight, but you’ll see a difference. Also, when I had great success, I was on the ORIGINAL South Beach… no soda, lower fat, lower salt, no artificial sweetners…it makes a BIG difference! Add LOTS of cardio and you should be good to go. Just don’t eat less than 1200 cals a day! That’s just too little!

Cut your sodium down to 1000mg, that means NO processed foods and lots of fruit and veggies. Cut out any carbonation also, as it will give you that puffy look. Up your intake of water too!

hah i’m the opposite – i’ve been eating really well but am so exhausted after work that i just lurk WB and watch tv… i’ll work out maybe only once a week. T_T

for food advice, cut out any soda if you’re drinking it (i didn’t drink it before anyway) and ban table salt. if you season well while cooking, you can cut out the habit of adding it after the fact.

have go to meals as well – my Fiance and I have the same ones even though we’re in different states! frozen chicken or fish (tilapia, salmon, cod, etc) is abundant so pair that with some frozen veggies (switch it up with asian medley and the other kinds) and some uncle bens 90 sec wild rice! Fiance always has some grapes with his meals too, so he gets even more veggies/fruits 😛 it’s really simple, fast, and hard to mess up.

and give yourself a small reward! my parents always keep dove chocolates in the cabinet and eat one (and only one!) after dinner. really the table salt thing was big for me. good luck!

We didn’t lose any weight before engagement pictures, but we definitely worked to cut out bloat – so we had lemon/lime water, which is always refreshing anyway, and paid a little more attention to making sure our nutrients were properly balanced. Plus, we cut out any alcohol for two weeks.

@SoontobeMsL: I have had a lot of luck for quick weightloss when following the Phase 1 for P90X.  Basically, eat 5-6 times per day and eat a lot of protein and veggies.  Cut yourself to 1 carb and 1 fruit per day.  Don’t drink pop!!  After 5-7 days, you can tell that you just don’t have the same food cravings!!

Good Luck!!  My engagement photos are in mid-October, and I just started the pre-wedding diet last week!!

@SoontobeMsL: I did P90X but it does require weights and a pull up bar. I build muscle too fast to do P90X, so I switched to Insanity. Insanity is still by Beachbody, but Shaun T does the workout and it’s ALL high intensity cardio – no equipment needed. I think it’s about the same price as P90X (unless you bit torrent….but I’m not saying you should!).

I don’t like to change my diet drastically to lose weight.  Cutting out soda, eating lots of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains, cut down on sodium, and drink lots of water.
