<span style=”font-family: tahoma, verdana; font-size: 13px;”>I second the Malibou Lake Mountain Club. It’s beautiful. We didn’t get married there because we wanted an outdoor venue in my hometown, but I’ve heard nothing but positive things about Malibou!

A colleague had her reception at the Smog Shoppe in Culver City – she said they were great.  I had mine at the Cal Yacht Club, but it can be expensive if you do a sit-down meal w/alcohol.

I know you mentioned you want indoors, but maybe look at Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills. It has everything else you want, it just happens to be outdoors (you use the gardens and courtyards, not the mansion itself).

The great things about Greystone are what you are looking for — absolutely stunning so you don’t need much decorating, you can bring in your own catering AND alcohol, and the rental fee is so reasonable. I think it’s like $600 per hour, which is nothing compared to most venues. It was one of our top choices.

@Bowie– I am considering BoxEight, but haven’t had the chance to actually go check it out yet.  I would be curious to know how big you expect your wedding to be, and how many people you think may be able to fit in that garden area behind the studio?

I would love to hear what you thought of it in person!

@BowieBride:

How much is it to rent boxeight? My fiance and I were thinking of something like too, however we don’t have a big wedding budget. Any information on that would be awesome!
