@j_anne:  I will look around.  I’ve googled lots of places in the LA area.  I’ve got a lot of them in my bookmarks.  I will see if I can find something that would work for you.  Do you have an inspiration board or a Pinterest board to give me an idea of what you like?

We just had our wedding at the Betty Reckas Cultural Center – the food & service were great, the venue is beautiful, and they have really awesome semi-BYOB options (you supply the alcohol, they charge ~$6/pp for all the mixers).  Our budget was ~12k for about 100 people (including the rental fee for venue); food/drinks were about $90pp, but we got an upgraded menu.  I believe the venue holds up to 300.

The view is unfortunately not that pretty, but the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden is a few blocks away, and is perfect for pictures.

Check out Redondo Beach Historic Library. Their pricing is really resonable. If you are open to a fall or winder wedding, you can save $3,000 as well. Beautiful views of the ocean and pier!
