- Wedding: October 2012
Hello all! This is my first time posting and I’ve read a lot of similar posts, but wanted to see if I could get a little more information from all of you. I just got engaged a few weeks ago and started looking for venues in the Los Angeles area. A few things to note:
-Looking for a capacity between 225 – 300
-Flexibility to use outside caterers
-Wedding will likely be in the fall
The places i’ve really liked the feel of are Smog Shoppe, Marvimon, Huron Substation, Union Station. We really like the historic sites with an industrial type feel, with exposed brick and rooftop beams, and maybe some outdoor space. We’ve also been interested in old barns or that sort of setip. With the exception of Union Station, i think all these places have capacities in the 100-200 range. Also looked into the Heritage Square Museum, but i don’t know much about it. He and I work in transportation, so we also really like anything that has to do with old trolley cars and trains, things like that. Also don’t want to break the bank, so places that are more affordable would be great (I hear marvimon/smog shoppe are on the pricey side)!
Would really appreciate any assistance. From the other posts on here it looks like you all have a lot of great ideas!
Thanks so very much in advance. 🙂
