Who watches her while you two are at work? Do you work opposite shifts?

I have a three boys, 4,2 and 11 months. My oldest is in preschool but he still takes naps. My 2 year old takes a nap every day, and my 11 mo takes two naps a day.

I would suggest getting her to nap at least once a day, maybe around 12 and keeping her up until bedtime.

I know its crazy and hard with these LOs but just remember that it won’t last forever!

My youngest woke up 3x last night!

Will she do “quiet time” around noon even if she doesn’t sleep every day? I don’t have kids of my own (well, for another 2 months until I have my baby!) but when I watch my nieces that’s a trick I use to get them into their rooms – they’re resistant to the idea of a nap even if they really need one. Calling it quiet time and going in to read with them usually ends with them out for at least 45 minutes. The other option seems to be letting her nap later in the day and then waking her up after a shorter nap than 3 hours…though as you probably well know you may have a very grumpy little person on your hands in that case.

I was a terrible napper when I has about that age, I wanted to sleep for several hours in the late afternoon just like your LO and then would keep my parents up. My mom stopped letting me have naps entirely because when she tried to wake me up after an hour or so I was a holy terror for several hours. I’m still like that today, incidentally, which my Darling Husband had to learn the hard way LOL!
