Never been to a wedding there but I did spend a summer in Palos Verdes and the whole area is gorgeous so I would expect nothing less from the golf club!

I know that’s not much help but I think it’s a beautiful place!

My friend had her wedding there.. it was pretty nice, but the food was average.  The food during cocktail hour was great, but my steak at dinner was a little hard.  Other than that, they have a huge dance floor that was great for dancing and partying.  Good luck with your decision!

My friend had her reception there.  (She got married at the Wayfarer’s Chapel – a glass chapel nearby.)  They are very reasonably priced because it is a public course and location.  They had an open bar which when included with their meal package for over 100 people was around $15k from what they told me.  I have to admit that I was taking advantage of the bar, so I couldn’t tell you about the food.

The area is great for photos and should be breezy in August.  Also, as a heads up, there are not many hotels right in that area, so you may want to look into a charter bus or something to take your guests (and you) to a hotel afterwards.  I would recommend staying at the Crowne Plaza Redondo Beach rather than Portofino as the rooms are bigger.
