When I worked at a salon years ago we had a lady that did them and all the clients loved them and many came back repeatedly.

It’s not water weight, its something about shrinking the actual cells, so yes, it’s a temporary solution, like spanx! lol.

It has to be water weight that is lost.  I believe the claim that it will make you lose fat is a false claim.  I’m sure the science/health industry bees can give you the specifics on why it would be water weight and not fat that is lost.

My Mother-In-Law owns some spas, and has wrapping equipment . She mainly talks of it for “detox” she uses muds that I guess pull out impurities and mess around with cellulite distribution but I don’t know about fat loss haha. Id love to know someone who actually tried the ones you are talking about that come in the little package with no mess application.

I’m typically of the belief that if it sounds too good to be true … it probably is!

Yeah, sorry, almost all of that stuff is a scam. People constantly look for a quick and easy way to lose weight in minutes, days or a week and it just is NOT possible. I know celebs like Oprah and Tyra Banks hawk it and make it seem legit, but they’re being paid to do so and thus you cannot take their opinions at face value. The weight you lose is indeed water weight from all the sweat, and as water weight normally fluctuates you’re absolutely going to get it back.

To lose 1 lb. of fat you need to burn approximately 3,500 calories – and a body wrap is not going to do that for you. Only a combination of exercise and decreasing your caloric intake will do so. If you really would like to get an understanding of the science and facts behind weight loss, I suggest starting here:

And if you’d like to lose weight/inches, all it takes is some simple yet fundamental changes to your diet and exercise habits. Try using a website such as SparkPeople or MyFitnessPal to track your eating and exercise daily and make small goals for yourself, such as to exercise for 30 minutes or more at least 3 times a week or cut out fast food. You’d be surprised how quickly you get results!

Oh hey, since many are probably wondering about definitive, scientific answers, I dug up a few good sources on body wraps re: whether they work or not (the second is long, but super interesting since it’s from the FTC on weight loss scams in general):

Hope those help shed some light!

It sounds like a scam, there is no way to shrink fat cells unless you create a calorie deficit where fat cells have to release stored fat for energy and thus shrink. That’s where diet and exercise come in.

I use them and im selling them now too! Basically what we promote is detoxing with te lovely side effect of loosing inches. This is not the same as loosing pounds but you do tighten and firm your skin as well. I love it. Ive had 3 kids and a really bad back so working out is so hard for me. BUt just being able to tighten that loose skin has made me feel so GOOD. So good that i became a distributor lol. I dont wanna spam up this post so if you do want to more message me here, fb or my site ๐Ÿ™‚

https://happybody.myitworks.com/Home It does really work. They say avrage results are 2-6 months I have friends that  have not lost their results and its been longer. The tone and tightened effect can last permantly.  ๐Ÿ™‚ by my wedding day i will now doubt have a tight tummy again something i have no had in 12 years ๐Ÿ˜€
