I ended up purchasing another dress after I realized I didn’t like the original one I purchased. Should I just lose the deposit (almost a $1000…eek!) or try to sell it? I’m afraid that I won’t be able to sell the dress due to the size (0).

I would try to sell that dress. It is a smaller size but $1,000 is a big loss. How much does it retail for?

@nanikoa: Almost $1600 plus shipping and tax. So that comes out to about $1800. 🙁

Not sure how easy it would be for you to re-sell it. I checked preownedweddingdress.com and they have one on there that is pre-owned for $1132, the price was just reduced so she’s probably been trying to sell it for a while. And there are two on eBay listed for around $1400, maybe keep an eye on those and see if they sell, they’re all larger sizes, a size 0 will be harder to sell…I would almost take the loss of deposit and not have to deal with the headache of trying to re-sell 🙁 But $1K is a lot to just throw away, do you think the salon would give you a credit for alterations or accessories??

@vanb2014: Try to sell. I bought a Maggie and ended up with dress regret, I put it on several used wedding dress websites and someone bought it with a month. That money went towards the dress I fell in love with and purchased instead.

@vanb2014: What size is it? I’ve been scouring the internet for a preowned one.
