Job outlook for nurses is fabulous. There are tons of openings in hospitals, nursing homes, home care, and even schools  for “bedside” (take care of patients directly) nurses such as lpn’s and rn’s……

There may be a little wait to get a job if one is looking for a specific (ie very high) salary or desires a particular speciality or area. However generally speaking…plenty of jobs out there for nurses.

Think it’s really a moot point in this thread though.

No, it’s really not. Especially for new graduate nurses or nurses who have been out of the workplace for an extended period of time.

Been here, done this. It took me nearly a year, a lot of tears and I lost count of how many applications to get my first nursing job. Not germaine to the OP’s post so apologies for threadjacking.
