Oh girl! I know how you feel! I don’t have any good advice for you. When I moved to a new city, had no job but my Darling Husband did… I would go window shopping to pass the time. I don’t have a problem with walking around the mall and not buying anything. But that got boring, and I hated wasting gas. So for me, it’s looked more like watching tv/movies at home and walking my dog frequently. I’m trying to think of what else I did besides Fbook and WB, but can’t think of anything. I organized a lot, cleaned sometimes, did laundry, researched random stuff online. I also read A LOT! Which is why I just bought a nook, the books are cheaper and I can take it anywhere!

Maybe you could join a gym that has classes. I met a few people in my old town from doing that! Join a book club!

@GatorKate: Yea, I consider myself pretty shy as well… as far as meeting new people. But after you go to the same classes over and over, it’s almost natural to start talking to the people who come regularly. You could also find a dog park in your area! I met a lot of people that went to the dog park on certain days, at the same time every week.
