(Closed) Losing Weight

It’s not logical to be “extra thin” if it means having an eating problem or making yourself sick.  if you are a size 2 or 4 then I think it would be unhealthy for you to diet anymore.  I think all of us want to look the best we’ve ever been, for me I am normally a size 5 but in the last 3 years after having my son and becoming a stay at home mom I have went up to a size 8, so I’m trying very hard to get down to that size 5 again (which is a healthy weight for my height)

i do understand the want to be thinner than normal. i mean, it is a big white dress you’re putting on and the camera puts on 10 lbs…but i think if you’re tiny, then you shouldn’t go overboard with it, especially if somebody who cares about you seems concerned. i was usually a 4 but then got up to a 6 and now is a 4 again and still, i have bouts of self consciousness where i freak out about an angle where my arms look fat or something. i hate that women have to have these self image problems but it’s just the truth of it. just try not to go off the deep end and know that you’re beautiful no matter what.

I don’t think losing lots of weight is the answer, but what about toning? You can lose inches instead of pounds, and still have the desired effect of looking slimmer.

I think there is a ton of pressure to look good on your special day, but maybe focus more on things you do want to look more tone?


I am about the same size, and its frustrating to others when you say “loose weight” when you might just want to be more in shape. For me I have problem areas ( some arm flab and I want to work on my shoulders too ) I don’t know that you should focus on a scale or a certain weight, but just on looking and feeling great in whatever type of dress you want.  


Maybe figure out a specific work out plan to target certain areas? I bet there is a lot of good advice on here for that 🙂
