I need to lose weight for my secret wedding in september 2013 in a magical place in Scotland,UK. My goal is 10st and i am 14.2lb at the moment, I am 5ft 7in tall and at present I am apple shape. I am determined not too get maried at this weight as I am too big! I am 52 yrs old and my man loves me as I am but I want to look back at my photo’s with pride. I love swimming and walking and I am willing to cut back on the calories. Any advice anyone can give me would be great please!!!!!!

First off, welcome to the hive and congratulations!
I would definitely indulge in your favorite activities that you listed above along with dieting/portion control. There’s a website/app that you can join: myfitnesspal.com to help count calories and log your activities to keep track. Best of luck!

One of my friend just lost a lot of weight in the past 6 months. What she’s been doing is, she does yoga every other day (not sure how long) and the morning that she doesn’t do yoga, she walked on threadmill for 2-3 miles (about 40 minutes). She cut all sweet stuff including coffee and she watchs what she’s eating.

@bunnykins59: Thanks for the replies guys, it does help having you all there to bounce ideas off. I will definately go on the website you mentioned as I think that would help me track my calorie intake. So watch this space!
