I’m doing UFC fit but it’s a long program and quite expensive. I’d do any kind of video that has tons of cardio in it. Get your heart rate up and keep it there. Run, jog, swim, bike.. anything cardio is a great way to lose weight. However if you only have ten more pounds to go, perhaps the weight you’re failing to lose is hidden by the fact that you’re gaining muscle mass?

@Mrs_Harmer_to_be:  are you doing the same workout everyday?? Or do you mix it up? Are you doing straight cardio or adding some weights in there??

Change it up! If you’ve been doing the same thing, try something new. Our bodies get used to routine quickly. So, if you’ve been doing the elliptical, try the bike or treadmill. If you’ve been eating the same foods, try a few new things. Should wake your body right up! Best of luck :).

@lolot:  Second this, but also with weight training!

Do you really need lose 10 lbs? Or do you want to lose body fat?  If you are at an average or lower average weight, it may really be more about looking to be a smaller size and not about the actual number on the scale. Focusing on gaining muscle can make you smaller.

When I was at my fittest and was very happy with my body I weighed more and was 2 sizes smaller before I started focusing on weight training

@Mrs_Harmer_to_be:  You usually hit a plateau because you aren’t “surprising” your muscles anymore. Think about the excercise you do and then pick one totally different than what you are used to. If you do a lot of aerobics try to do a lot of anaerobic things now. And vice versa.

Don’t try anything that claims it will help you lose a lb a day or anything like that because its jsut water weight and you will regain it in the blink of an eye!

Definitely HIIT and re-evaluate your diet and caloric intake.

I’m in the same boat! I’m currently 125 lbs (5’3″) and trying to loose 10 more lbs by my October wedding. I’ve lost 14 lbs so far and then completely hit a wall with loosing. As soon as I started switching up my routine (I was doing the treadmill a lot) is when I started to see some results again. I’ve been 115 lbs before while working out so I know can do it again!

Good luck…you’re not alone!
