Hey guys. I’ve been working out & eating a low-carb diet for the last few months, and I went from 124 to 117-ish, but the last week or so, I’ve been eating ice cream every day (literally) and I went from 117 to 113-114. I don’t understand it and it’s weird to lose weight when eating badly.
I feel like I might be skipping breakfast a little more than normal and letting myself get hungry before I eat, but besides that, I haven’t been doing anything much different. Could I just be stressed out? I’ve got a meeting with the minister today, my bachelorette party next weekend, the wedding is at the beginning of June and I haven’t been working because my job is really slow (which is okay as Fiance can certainly afford my bills, I just feel like a mooch). Did this happen to any of you guys?

Stress can make you lose weight. Also, are you eating enough other than the ice cream? If you didn’t increase your food intake enough after losing weight, you will still have a calorie deficit that can lead to weight loss.

Yeah, I’m definitely eating stuff other than the ice cream, but perhaps maybe more like 2 meals a day instead of 3, and then just snacking..and apparently ice cream. I couldn’t help myself, it was in the freezer. 😉 I just find it odd to be eating things I *know* are bad for me and still be losing weight, especially 3-4 lbs in a week.

IF you have been restricting calories for awhile, then if you ate a bit more this week its possible it spurred your weightloss a bit. ITs called calorie zigzagging that some people follow when losing weight.
Also, you are likely moving a lot more due to your errands and chores etc since you are not working as much.

Interesting. I’m not sure exactly what’s going on.. I’m assuming it’s a mixture of a bit of stress and perhaps waiting until I’m actually hungry to eat (normally I eat small but frequent meals). It’s odd though, I haven’t been this light since I was 18 six years ago! ..Not that I’m complaining that I’m losing weight w/o working out for the last week. 😉
