You’re halfway there? Congrats! Bumping this up for you to see if anyone can weigh in! (no pun intended)

Great job on already losing 15 pounds! What an accomplishment!

I would really like to lose 30 pounds, but seeing as how my wedding is getting so close now, I don’t know how realistic that is. Maybe I should shoot for 20…

@Bjones107:  Nice job! I hear ya though, sometimes motivation is hard.

My goal is to lose about 12 lbs. I just weighed myself today and I have lost 8.5lbs. Just a few more to go!

@SmangieBee:  I’ve lost 30 lbs in three months and I haven’t starved, used medications or killed myself in exercise hehehe =) It was hard work though. It can be done! I have 20 more to go.

@ChuckNorris:  Congrats! That’s awesome!! Can I ask what has been your strategy? Have you cut carbs? Reduced portions? Kicked up the cardio? All of the above?

@SmangieBee:  All of the above, ha. I follow the guidelines of the 17 day diet and the glycemic index (great books, highly recommend). I count calories, eat low carb/low glycemic index, high protein, and net about 1300-1500 calories per day after exercise (but eat about 1700 ish calories per day). I lift heavy weights 3 times per week (this is key! weight lifting is seriously what will save us!!!!) and do cardio as frequently as I can, started running, do the arc trainer, elliptical, etc. I’m not that strict on myself though. If I don’t feel like working out, I don’t (which I’m addicted now but in the beginning I wasn’t). If I feel like eating a cookie, I do but I try to time it with a protein snack (shake, bar, whatever), etc.

Basically, I’ve tried like 100 diets last year and I took what worked for me in all of them and combined it into my own little thing. I saw a weight loss doctor just once, heard his shpeel, went to weight watchers, read a bunch of different diet books, etc, and just tried to figure out what worked for me and my body. I’ve only binged three times since doing this diet and for me, that’s a huge win =) I HIGHLY recommend my fitness pal, I have 150 friends that support me when I am down, answer my questions, give advice, motivate me, and it is motivating for me to motivate them when I succeed, so I find myself wanting to keep going for the first time ever.

I’m a waitingbee but I’ve decided to get into better shape a well. I recently lost 25lbs over the course of about three months, and I want to lose between 15-20lbs before summer officially starts 🙂 I figured its best to get into shape before the wedding planning starts that way it’s one less thing not drive myself crazy with, and just focus more on maintenance 🙂

@Bjones107:  another motivation is that it’s better for your heart (cardio). The better your heart the longer you’ll live 🙂

I want to lose ~40-50 lbs for my wedding which is in 1 year.  I started last week, I have been eating really well and exercising almost every day (20-30 min workouts).  I thought when I weighed myself the scale might have budged a bit but I actually ended up gaining a pound….WTF?? What gives!??
