(Closed) Losing Weight with the FI

@alheur:  My Boyfriend or Best Friend and I are losing weight together, and we’re pretty honest with each other…

For example: when he goes for a second plate of dinner, I’ll say “how about you have a big glass of water, and give yourself 10 mins. If you’re still hungry, go ahead and grab some more.” -or- I’ll say something like “instead of another plate of dinner, how about you grab a banana?” And he does the same things with me. It’s good to have someone to help you see what you’re doing, or help you check-in with yourself.

Neither of us buy junk food anymore. I keep the fridge full of veggies, fruit, pickles, V8 juice (the Boyfriend or Best Friend loves that stuff. I hate it, blech.. lol) or yogurt. Saturday is our “fun day.” So we work our butts off all week, and give ourselves a treat at the end of it. 

As far as going to the gym, I know I push myself A LOT more when the Boyfriend or Best Friend goes with me. It’s almost like a game; I like to try and do just as much as him/burn more calories than him. Or we’ll rotate weight machines together. He’ll be on one, and I’ll sit next to him on another, and we’ll do a set or reps, switch machines, do another set, switch, etc. 

MyFitnessPal.com is awesome at helping keep track of calories. They even have a neat app for the phone where you can use the camera to scan the barcodes on the packages of food so they’re easier to enter into your food diary. You can also enter in any calories burned while working out too.
