So, my e-ring was sized on Friday and yesterday I noticed that one of the side pave tiny diamonds had fallen out. I knew this was a possibility, even though they were supposed to have checked to make sure the stones were secure AFTER they sized it.
Anyways, after I noticed the stone was missing, I took the ring off and put it away. I called the jeweler and they won’t be able to repair it until tomorrow. It is under lifetime warranty so it will be free.
My question is…Should I not wear the ring until it has been repaired and all the diamonds have been checked again? I know this is PROBABLY what I should do, but I HATE being without my ring, especially when I am going grocery shopping today and might run into some of my friends who haven’t seen it yet.

@Stargaze31: I would just say its getting cleaned if your friends ask. I wouldnt want to show off my ring if it was missing a diamond! And since one stone already fell out, there might be another one loose. Who knows.

yeah, that is what I am worried about. I don’t want to lose any more. I guess I could just show them one of my millions of photos, LOL!
The diamond is tiny and way on the side so it wouldn’t show if I wear it, but I want to be safe.
ETA: My Fiance said I could wear ONE of my wedding bands TODAY ONLY so my finger won’t feel so lonely for a ring. 😉

@Stargaze31: I’m interested to know how they sized your ring. I also have a pave band, and since we bought the setting as is (with a 25% discout), I needed it sized. They put 2 beads inside the band, because they said by cutting the band and making it smaller, it would run the risk of one of the small pave stones popping out.
As it was said, it’s better to be on the safe side, and not wear it because you don’t want to lose any more. Saying it’s getting cleaned, or even sized, is totally acceptable!

They had to oval it a bit because of the pave. I was worried but if all that comes out is just the one stone, I am okay with that. If all of them start falling out, I will be upset. The stone that fell out was right at the bottom so it probably got the most stress. I am going to have them double check every single stone tomorrow.
