I don’t have any advice. I think honesty is the best policy, though. I just had to come in here because just reading the title stressed me out. How did you lose it? I NEVER take mine off, it would stress me out way too much, plus I love it way too much.

@NJmeetsBX:

I’m really sorry to hear that. I hope things work out.

ugh… that is the worst feeling!  My e-ring & wedding ring were missing for almost a month and a half.  I hope yours turns up!

@NJmeetsBX:

Did you try sending out a mass company email?

Is it possible the cleaning crew took it?

I think you should file the claim as soon as possible.

At least he didn’t get insurance on the ring the day before you lost it.

I’d send out a company wide e-mail asking if anyone has seen it, and then file a claim with insurance company. Your premium will probably go up, but this is why you have insurance.

@NJmeetsBX:  I actually found them in my car!!  I had done something similar… it was cold and my hands were still covered in lotion so I guess I had put them in my purse on my way out the door (along with my watch and earings — I was running late)  When I got to work, my watch and earings were still in my purse but my ring was no where to be found (which made me believe I had left them at home).  I had looked in the car when they first went missing but I guess they just fell in some crack/between some plastic part and just needed to jiggle their way out.

The reality is… you probably put it somewhere for safekeeping because it’s not the type of thing you’d just put anywhere.  So it’s probably “somewhere”… you just have to find it.  Good luck!

My aunt lost a ring and it was simple enough for her to replace b/c of insurance. I’d file as soon as you can. If it makes you feel any better my mom had her wedding ring stolen (they stole her purse and her ring was in there), she got a replacement ring 2 weeks later and that SAME day she lost it…still have no idea how it happened. Sorry you lost it, hopefully it turns up but if it doesn’t good thing you have insurance!!

I am so sorry that happened! I lost another ring once.  It was also while my hands were cold.  I think I had reached into my purse for my keys and it came off.  I ended up finding it a month later at the bottom of my bag when I emptied it out.  I am sure you checked your bag already, but have you checked coat pockets, etc. too?
