I’ve never posted before, responded, Yep, but never started a post off. I thought if I did it would be something fun and exciting.
Sadly this just a sulk, because I’m at work and I don’t have anyone else to sulk at, but some of you girls may understand.
My beautiful hair pieces were supposed to be delivered to me today, ready for my hair trial on Saturday. I had ordered a few so I could choose and send some back.
I checked the Royal Mail website. It shows a signature proving it has been delivered to someone; only it wasn’t delivered to me, or to anyone at my work. When the delivery guy came in this morning he only had post.
I’m so sad, hopefully as I have logged it as missing I will get my money back (quite a bit, we all know wedding bling is not cheap)…..but I doubt that I will get the pieces here by Saturday in time for the trial.
Weddings! – normally this wouldn’t phase me….but now I’m really upset. 🙁

@LilLis: That’s terrible. Does it show exactly who signed for it? Couldn’t you track them down? Based on your comments, I assuming you got it sent to your work so it would likely be a colleague, or at least a fellow employee.

@LilLis: booooooo–how disappointing!

That really sucks. 🙁 It wasn’t via Yodel was it? We’ve lost so many packages that were sent through them when we thought they’d be coming Royal Mail, largely because they just dump it wherever.

@LilLis: Is it possible it was delivered to an office next door? I know we get asked to sign for packages for other people in our complex all the time. I hope it turns up and is just a misunderstanding! I would be sulking too!

@MrsPanda99: That was my first thought. I checked with everyone here but nobody here has signed for it. I believe them, there are not many of us…..and I trust everyone. They all know that I’m getting wedding stuff delivered and usually bring it over with a big smile on their faces asking what I got this time (the guys as well as the girls!).
I went next door too, they sometimes sign for stuff for us and pop it round when they have time. But no luck.
The printed name was my surname, but the signature was a squiggle. I think it may have gone AWOL before our regular postal guy got hold of it.
Thank you @MrsLongcoatPeacoat: Boooooo does pretty much sum up my feelings at the moment.

@LilLis: The printed name was your surname? That sounds as though someone intentionally stole it then! That makes the whole thing even worse.

@chronicwhimsy: Royal Mail, unless they dep it out but still use their tracking system to keep an eye on it. I think it must have had some kind of insurance as the delivery cost was huge….and went up with the value of the goods inside. So if its accepted that I havent received it then at least I shouldnt be out of pocket.

@MrsPanda99: I know. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that the compnay i bought it from and royal mail both accept that.
