I was pretty satisfied with the ending.  I knew that as the season went by and questions went unanswered, they would not be able to answer every question that I had.

I was satisfied.  I like the mystery of it all.

I’m satisfied. I knew that we’d never get all of the answers to all of the mysteries, so I’m not disappointed that we didn’t. I’m glad that they explained the sideways reality, and I like how the sideways was a way for the characters to get the chance to do things that they never got to do in real life. Jack was a good dad. Sawyer was a cop instead of a con. Hurley was beloved. Locke had the love of Helen and his dad, and eventually, he got his legs back. Ben had Alex’s love and respect and a possible romance with Danielle.

It took me a while to realize that all of the characters died at different times and then ended up in the church at the same time. That part was overly sentimental, and normally I’d have thought it was cheesy, but I still really liked it. It felt like the closure I wanted.

As far as the island storyline, well, I’m glad that what happened on the island wasn’t a dream or purgatory or whatever. To quote the show, what happened, happened. Jack saved the island and died a hero – his destiny. Kate got Claire off the island and will bring him back to Aaron. I’m really curious to what Richard is going to do off the island!

I also was really touched by the Ben/Hurley scene, when Ben said that Hurley would do what he was best at – taking care of people. And I liked the realization that just because Jacob wouldn’t let people leave the island didn’t mean that Hurley had to do the same thing. So Desmond can go home to Penny and little Charlie. Yay! I’m glad Ben stayed with Hurley. I didn’t want Hurley to be lonely.

And when Vincent lay down next to Jack in the bamboo? SOB!!

I was satisfied AND disappointed.  I think I’m still really confused and I wish there was more to the story.  I hate it when writers leave things unfinished like that!  BUT i really REALLY loved the way things turned out in the end and loved all of the emotion in the flash sideways.  I seriously must have cried 20 times.

Why didn’t anyone invite Walt or Michael to the “after-life” party??  Not explaining Walt and his “abilities” and just ignoring that character/story line is the only thing I’m not satisfied with.

I like how they explained the parallel reality- it’s better than the island crew trying to get off, and the sideways crew trying to go back.

I’m also glad that it WAS Hurley who got to be the new Jacob. The scene with him and Ben was great.

Oh – there was one thing that I did have an issue with. I’ve actually had this issue since season 2.

Sayid’s whole motivation, the entire reason he was even on the island, was because he was in love with Nadia and was going to see her in L.A. Then, he fell in love with Shannon in a few weeks, and it was like Nadia never even existed. Then, Shannon dies. And then, when Sayid gets off the island, he finds Nadia and marries her, and it was like Shannon never existed, and then Nadia dies and Sayid is heartbroken and becomes an assassin to avenge her death, blah blah blah.

Basically, it was like Shannon was a brief distraction from Nadia, but then it turns out that Shannon was Sayid’s constant? It just felt forced to me.

I saw Jimmy Kimmel last night, and the actor who played Michael said that Michael was left on the island as one of the “whisperers.”  I think I remember that . . .

But what did happen to Walt?  Is he still in the real world (not dead yet) but off the island?

I think that the reason that Michael and Walt weren’t in the finale was a simple one: the actor who plays Walt is now 18 years old. There’s no way he could’ve played an 11 year old boy anymore.

I loved it! I was wondering where Michael and Walt were too. Hmmmm…

I think the line that proved that they all died at different times when when Hurley and Ben said to each other “You were a good number 1” and “You were a good number 2″…before that, I didn’t realize they did stay on the island for awhile.

The only thing I don’t get is that many of them DID have better lives in the parallel world as somebody mentioned above-but NOT all…Sayid and Charlie..Charlie was still a drunk. And Kate still a con running from the police. I don’t get that…

Also, Ben didn’t want to go inside. He said he had things to work out. I wonder what he would do next? Also, what about Whitmore in the afterlife? And Faraday and Mrs. Hawkins?

And what about Ana Lucia?

I was upset Sayid didn’t end up with Nadia..don’t get me wrong-loved his relationship with Shannon, but I was rooting for him to be with Nadia! 🙂

And I always thought Kate and Sawyer would end up together. 🙁

Oh I agree, I cried throughout the whole episode, but I said “I don’t even like Shannon, why is she back?”

I liked the whole episode, still some things unanswered, but overall a good closing.  If it had to end, I’m glad it was this way.

It was so emotionally satisfying that I can live with the holes. The biggest and most annoying one is Walt of course, and I hate that they completely ignored that character after his mythos being such a fundamental part if teh show, but that aside it was great. I wept like a baby.
