I lost my baby Milo today. He came into my life 20 years ago so you can imagine how hard it was to let him go. His health declined quickly the past couple weeks. He lost a lot of weight and medications and feedings weren’t helping him get his appetite back. It broke our hearts to see him suffering so we knew what we had to do. Even though we knew it was what was best for him, it was still the hardest decision we had to make. I miss him dearly. We came home and just cried and hugged each other. I feel like there’s a hole in my heart. I know time will heal and one day we will be united again. I miss you, my babushka. Baby Milo 1996-2016

Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry, bee. This sounds just like what I went through with my baby last Fall. She too deteriorated so quickly within the span of 2-3 weeks despite us trying various meds. We lost her at 17. Please know that you’re not alone and that you should grieve all you want (and take as much time as you need for it). Sending you so many hugs right now. xoxoxo

Oh, what a darling big boy. So sorry for your loss!
I’ve lost cats to old age and illness before, and it’s never easy. Be kind to yourself during this difficult time and know everyone grieves differently, so there’s no “right” or “wrong” way to feel. Big e-hugs to you!

I’m so sorry Bee!! Some years ago I had an orange tabby named Peach. She lived for 21yrs!
Feel better he’s at peace now. I lost my old dog a month ago. ;( Knowing he’s free and out of pain makes me feel better.

So so sorry bee!! At 20 I know it felt like he was your child. Just know you did the right thing by letting him go peacefully and not making him suffer. Remember all the good times you two had. Sending you virtual hugs!!

What a handsome boy, I’m so sorry bee. My childhood cat who is about 20, has also been declining health wise. I feel awful and no thay eventually the time will come where I will have to make my decision… I really think that is the last gift thay you could have given him, was to stop his pain. I’m so sorry bee! It’s a hard lost Ecspecially for such an important and long part of your life. *hugs*
