- Wedding: June 2014
I have had the same set of earrings (diamond flower studs) since I was 8. I have had to replace them once before. I lost the 1st set the day after my high school prom. I dont think I was as emotional about loosing them then since it was due to a big occasion. My Fiance replaced those earrings (Fi was my prom date— we have been together for a looong time) for me shortly after- I always envisioned wearing these earrings on my wedding day. I have worn them for every other big event in my life.
Fiance would like to replace them again but it feels very wrong to be spending a lot of money on a set of earrings when there is so many other things we need to worry about. I have looked at diamond alternatives but Fiance is not really keen on that (he feels it would be a waste because he would want to eventually replace them).
What to do? Spend money on a replacement? Get another pair? Try to let go?
