About 5 years ago in my senior year of college, I dropped about 55 lbs. I went from being the ‘chubby but pretty’ girl to just prettty. (I was the ‘fat twin’ growing up with my very skinny fraternal twins sister). I have since very gradually gained back about 15 lbs. Now, truth be told, my lowest weight (near 122) was actually too low for me. I was uncomfortable. 130 seems to be my ‘happy weight’.
The funny thing is, when I lost the weight the first time I was all “Hey! Now I don’t have to stress about losing weight when I (eventually) get married!” So here I am years later, just 3.5 months out from my wedding, and simply CANNOT seem to get these stubborn 7-9 lbs off. I still work out 6 days/week, but I just don’t have the motivation to challenge myself. I’ve also gotten so darn tired of trying to cook healthy food. Did I mention I HATE to cook? I feel like I was eating the same thing all the time and getting bored, so I’ve gotten lazy.
What’s a girl to do?
