Hooray for a happy ending! Phew! So glad that you got your rings back!! Maybe you could invest in a simple necklace to slip your rings on when your fingers swell or get too cold. Little bit of peace of mind for you!

first of, I am sorry you lost your ring and I hope you find it soon…But I have a story to tell you.   My husband lost his ring last week while driving…He was playing with the ring because it was kinda loose.  He dropped it in the car and as soon as he had the chance he stoppped and looked for it and can not find it.  At least 15 friends and family tried to help, still did not find it.  We literally tore the car apart.  Called all the pawn shops in town, looked on craiglst in two cities near by.  Despirately, I searched the web for answers and hoping someone have similar situation…I ended up on this very website.  I read the posts and many posts had advice to pray to st. anthony so I did…I went out to the car looking at the same spot for one last time before we have to put all the hard plastic covers back.  The very spot I looked so so many times.  But this times I saw the sparkles and lifted it up and there it was….my husband’s ring.  I am a St. Anthony believer now….Just found the ring less than 1 hr ago….so so happy…. His mom gave him the ring with diamonds that have been with her for at least 40 years.  She had it made for him and gave it to him less than six months ago.  So it is very previous to him.  I found the ring in the car, under the carpet linning of the car near the driver’s door.  We had to remove some plastic covers and cut out the carpet under the driver’s seat.  We are soo so happy that we found the ring…If you want to try, remove the plastic covers by the door and lift up the carpet there before you went crazy like we did and cut the carpet….DONT FORGET TO SAY A PRAYER OF ST. ANTHONY….it really works!!!

Although it has a lot of emotional value, it is still a material item. You still have your health and your family.

sandy2601:  Don’t run the water.  Call a plumber ASAP and see what s/he says.  I’m sorry you’re going through this!

sandy2601:  I don’t know too much about it but I’d avoid running water at all in there, just judging from what I’ve read around here about various lost ring threads.

If you lost an expensive diamond ring, and were reimbursed for it by your insurance company, then shortly afterward you found the ring, would you return the money?
