So I have my dress and it is very different from a lot of what I have seen out there. I love it but I also can’t find a single picture of anyone else wearing it, even though I bought it at David’s Bridal. With not much to go with I am kind of lost as to how to accessorize and style it. Below is a picture of my dress and sorry for the horrible camera phone mirror picture, I really wasn’t prepared with a camera the day I bought it since it was on a whim and this is the best I could do at home:
I was not planning on wearing a veil but rather some kind of headband but now I think I might need a veil. Also, I think it might be hard to find a headband to go with the beading and pearls, see detail pic below. Also, I think I need to go easy with the jewelry since the straps are heavily beaded. Anyway, I am stuck! Any suggestions/ pictures/ advice are much appreciated. By the way, it is an outdoor wedding in April.

I think a very simple necklace (maybe pearls… not sure if that’s too “pearly”) but keep it very dainty.
But you can go big, thick and statement on the bracelet I’d say!

It’s a simple, yet stunning dress, and I think a veil would make it look more bridal.
I agree with the PP, a simple necklace if you want to wear one, and a ‘blingy’ bracelet would really look lovely with your dress.

Stick with earings and a bracelet if you like jewlery. Your neckline is already dazzled up with the dress 🙂
you could use a veil with a comb in part that is decked out with some pearls perhaps:) I think the dress can be taken up or down- its perfect!

Your dress is stunning! if you wear your hair up, I would go with statement earrings with pearl accents. If you have your hair down, i’d wear pearl studs and a statement bracelet.

Thanks for the advice everyone, any specific pictures of jewelry, veils, headbands, etc. that might work?
@vmec: I actually have a simple pearl necklace that my cousin gave me when I was the flowergirl in her wedding over 15 years ago. Her daughter is going to be my flower girl so I am thinking about wearing that. Maybe I’ll try it on with that and take a pic for you all!
@metalbride: I agree that a veil might make it more bridal but I was so convinced I didn’t want one I didn’t even try one on while I was looking at dresses. I may have to rethink that though.
@Eva Peron: I think I will be definitely looking for some kind of statement bracelet.
@hopefloats: If my hair grows out a little more I’d like to wear it down but I also don’t want to hide the most interesting part of the dress- the straps- with my hair. I may have to rethink this…

First of all, your wedding is very classy!
In terms of bracelets…what do you think about these?

Hope that helps!

I am so happy you posted a picture of this dress! The photo on the website is not very helpful and a lot of the stores don’t carry it. I found a picture of another girl wearing it on weddingbee, if you search for the style number, you can probably still find it. I ended up buying this dress a few too many sizes away from my own, so I don’t know if it will look right, but this is stunning on you! I love that it’s so different.
As for your questions: my mom wants me to wear a veil with it, so I might, but I don’t think the dress needs one. I definitely think you could wear a headband, just as log as it’s not too much. What if you got some pearl beads on bobby pins and just have them spotted around in your hair? It’s simple but it will draw on the straps. Or if you want to wear your hair down but don’t want it hiding the straps, what about half up with a pearly-type clip? I’d otherwise keep the jewelry simple, like the basic necklace you were talking about and/or some simple pearl-based earrings. If you want a more standout accessory, I think everyone is right with a statement bracelet.
