We have been engaged since 2009 and Im just ready to be the Mrs. already. Ive had my dress for the last 2 years and this is gonna be the year i wear it!!! I think we finally decided on a wedding we can afford! A little cocktail reception so we can still greet guest and have a cake! How does this sound? We just had a new baby and am in the middle of buying a home so we have no money for a wedding! And to top it of when i was in labor i had to get an emergency csection and we lost my ring!!!!! And we dont have money to get a new one before the wedding what to do????

It’s a celebration of love, your love so I say whatever you end up doing is going to be fine. What if you use a temporary ring in a low cost alternative (I’m thinking sterling silver with CZ) until you can get a replacement

oh no I am so sorry to hear that you lost your ring, you must have been devistated. But at least you are now doing a wedding that you can afford. The ladies on these boards seem to be champions of the rediculiously low budget but beautiful weddings. My first suggestion would be to search the boards for any posts that include “Budget wedding” in the title. There is no reason for a lovely elegent wedding to cost more than 1000, and many of the lovely bees on here have gotten it in under that!
Best of luck and keep us updated on your planning! I am in the process of planning a low budget wedding also so I know how you feel, It looks like everything included we will still come in around 1,500 and I splurged on a few things.
