Have you guys checked out JC Penny or Macy’s? They carry cocktail/formal dresses in a big range of sizes, so you should be able to find matching dresses for all your girls!

@FutureMrsGG:  Sorry to hear of your bad experience. Do your girls live local to you?

Can you just go shopping together and have each of them pick something out? You can determine the budget, length, fabric.

Given the circumstances, would you be open to letting the girls all wear either a dress they already own? or a little black dress?

I’m in Canada, and we bought the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses from a clothing store called Le Chateau–straight off the rack, and everyone could try on the sizes they wanted.

I would definitely try a department store, or even a prom dress store (some prom dresses can defitiely be used for Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses. Also, try looking into manufacturers like Pretty Bridesmaids. If you choose a dress this week and have them ordered within the next two weeks, you should have your dresses in time. They are supposed to take 8 weeks. That may be too risky for you (it would make me nervous too), but it is another option. Good luck!

I’m going to Aritzia to get mine soon, their spring colors are coming out this month. They have great dresses that don’t look too bridesmaid-y and are between $75-160. The quality is great. A lot of Brides here get their bridesmaid dresses at this store. I think they have some locations in the states, check it out! Or, if you order online, I vouch for the sabine dress. I got it for my sisters wedding and it looked great, and it looks good on a variety of body types (and its my FI’s favourite dress on me!)

It completely sucks about the dresses, but 3 months is plenty of time to get new dresses.  Have you tried J. Crew or Banana Republic?  The stores are nationwide so the shipping is cheap/free, most women will live near a store so they at least know their size, and they carry plus sizes/petites.  You can get new dresses in 2 weeks!

Edit: I would also contact their customer service/leave a poor review on yelp or something…they might give you a refund or send you new dresses.  You never know until you ask…

@FutureMrsGG:  Davids Bridal.  They said it would take 6-12 weeks but in reality took less than 2 weeks for dresses to come in

@FutureMrsGG:  We ordered from Davids Bridal. I don’t know if we were an anomaly but the dresses we ordered were in within 2 weeks.

Just saw they have a location in Chicago!  Dooo it! 🙂

And when their spring colours come out you can get all the same color of dress, or you can get different but complimentary colors because they design their lines to have the colours look good next to each other.

@FutureMrsGG:  Not sure of your theme, but ModCloth has some excellent adorable dresses perfect for an off-beat or vintage wedding.

Also, what about amazon, zappos, Nordstrom or Bloomingdales? They have some gorgeous dresses that come in rather quickly.

For my best friend’s wedding, we got our dresses at Nordstorm’s and they were only $50! They were very classy looking, one shouldered and extremely good quality. And it’s a dress that I would wear again to a cocktail reception or fancy dinner! So I definitely agree with other commenters who’ve suggested department stores.

David’s bridal might be an option. If they have the sizes then you can just take them away that day, if not, it seems they get stuff in very quickly.
