I’m in the same boat! Me and my Fiance got engaged on the 26th of May and are getting married on September 10th, 2011. So far we have the venue, the dress, and the save the dates out. We’re waiting on our invites so we can get those out before the end of the week, and we’re in the process of selecting our photographer and caterer. The hunt is on for my veil, shoes, and jewelry so that I can wear them at my fitting next week. It’s crazy stressful, but I think it will all come together just fine!

If I were you I would get your invitations out ASAP, skip the save the dates! And try to find a photographer as soon as possible, most of the quality photographers were already booked a year in advance!

Sounds like you’re doing pretty well! I think photographer and invitations are the two things you need to get sorted ASAP 🙂 Good luck with it (from someone who has almost 24 months to plan a wedding!). x

In a similar boat here! We were engaged April 24, 2011 and we’re getting married September 24, 2011! It seems like you have a lot done, but still a lot to do! Here’s where I am, if it helps.

We have our rings (just got his ordered yesterday — super exciting)
I have my make-up/hair (first trial is this Saturday)
We have our venue, which includes our caterer and ceremony site
We just got EVERYTHING in for our invitations today, so we’re starting on those ASAP.
I have my dress, fitting Thursday.
The BM’s are in the process of getting fitted for their dresses.
GM’s are in the process of getting fitted as well.
We have our photographer.
We have our DJ.

I still need:
Bridal Party Gifts
Husband/Wife gift
MOB Dress
RSVP’s to be sent back in so we can do seating charts
and to start doing our trial centerpieces and meet with a florist for our flowers.
We also have to find a baker seeing how mine backed out this morning, when we were supposed to meet with them tomorrow.

My co-worker/friend actually designed our invites, THEY LOOK great. We ordered pocketfolds and invitations from http://www.cardsandpockets.com, (Great price) and we had them printed at a local print shop, great price again. Our pocketfolds and invites just got in today, so I plan on trying to put AT LEAST one together and taking a picture of it here soon!

Yes, I got my dress on June 4th. It was the dress I least expected I would like, and I as well as 4 other people fell in love with it and no one argued, and trust me, we’re “argue-ers”. So that was a sign in itself:)

I just want a simple cake. Squared, 3 tiers, maybe even 2 with a sheetcake in the back. Buttercream icing, maybe a strawberry filling…

@nutellalover: I bought a sample at a bridal shop 2 weeks ago! It’s a size too big so I need to get it taken in a fair amount and I’ve been given a 6 week turnaround time by 3 seamstresses so I figured I best get it in A.S.A.P. I hope your dress fits like a glove lady!

I got my shoes in just this morning and I may or may not have strapped on my dress so I could see how they worked together 🙂 Now just to decide on my veil (http://www.etsy.com/listing/64179342/soft-antique-color-ivory-memphis-bridal or http://www.etsy.com/listing/73592331/ivory-9-inch-dotted-bird-cage-veil-with ?!)and jewelry, and a suit for Mr. KO.

Speaking of Mr. KO – his ring came in yesterday (eBay saved me ~$550!) and it’s perfect. And we’re going to look for a wedding band for me this weekend. So that’s almost done thankfully…

In hindsight I wish I had skipped the save the dates! I feel silly for sending them, but I had always wanted to so…! I finalized my order for our invitations and reply cards last night and we will be making the additional items to go along with them early next week. These are the design we picked http://www.storkie.com/p-62464-bold-and-beautiful-iii-save-the-date-card.aspx (ours are black with peach and white flowers, on recycled matte paper = AMAZING), and I also had a custom stamp made from a seller on ETSY to match the design for our DIY things. Storkie is about as cheap as it gets from what I’ve seen. I had really wanted an artsy custom designed invitation but that wasn’t in our budget, and I’ve recived a lot of compliments on the save the dates so far, so I guess I did okay!

I asked around on facebook for a photographer and one of my friends came through, his friend http://taniamariaphoto.com/ looks pretty amazing AND she’s within our sad little budget! So we really lucked out there. We’re sorting through quotes from caterers and rental places right now so it’s all really coming together!!!!!! That’s a far cry from how I felt last week.

Now just to find a cheap gyspy jazz trio (in my dreams) or make an ipod playlist and make about 500 more of these… http://www.oncewed.com/7560/diy-wedding/decor/diy-wedding-pom-poms/ ughhhhhhh.

You’re incredibly smart for getting married on a Monday! I fell in love with the idea of getting married on 09.10.11 long before I even knew Mr. KO so my heart was already set on it. He wanted a short engagement and I wanted 09.10.11 so it just worked out!

Thank you and good luck to you too! I’m going to go eat some nutella now 🙂
