There was a wedding at our honeymoon hotel. You’d think I would have been more understanding since we had just gotten married as well, and believe me, I tried to be! But all I wanted was to relax and forget all about the stressful wedding planning. After nights of the hotel staff knocking at our door at 1 a.m., because they were not sure which room people were smoking pot in, and the entire wedding party occupying the hotel pool, getting drunk and doing cannon balls for an entire weekend, I was ready for that wedding to be over!

I totally understand your disappointment, especially since this was your only vacation for a long time.

You need to complain to the hotel staff. Maybe you could get a night for free. It took them all night to reslove an issue with unruly guests. I don’t know what their policy is, but when we stayed at a Trump hotel in AC we had unruly neighbors. We complained to the desk and they explained if they have to contact the neighbors twice, they’ll contact the police and they’d be asked to leave the hotel. Whether or not that was totally true is another story as they stopped being loud after the 1st complaint. But you should certainly let the hotel know how unacceptable last night was.

Sorry your vaca ended so poorly. I hope you still get to enjoy your last day. Inconsiderate ppl suck!

@claireos:  agreed.  i would not pay for a sleepless night.  i would complain to the manager and demand they do something to rectify your miserable experience.

@claireos: I agree, I would try to get a resolution from the hotel. Its not their fault, but any decent hotel would try to do something to make up for it

That blows. People have no consideration for others. The last time I was away, at 3am while Darling Husband and I were sleeping, some drunk asshole started banging on our hotel room door yelling “Scotty, lemme in!” over and over. When my husband told him nicely to f-off, he proceeded to take the party out into the hallway for another hour. The hotel did nothing.

I would complain to the hotel , once while staying at a hotel the alarm wasnt reset from the previous occupant and it woke me at 4am – I got my entire night comped because of that disturbance. I simply re-read them the sign in the washroom that guaranteed a great nights sleep..ect.ect.

ETA – I just read your post! good for you ๐Ÿ™‚
