I think the DB dress is more attractive, but that may just be because it is more my style.

I really loved the Maggie on you. I thought it was stunning and much more feminine and stylish. The DB is nice–but kind of basic and typical and hides your figure. You have a very nice figure! But I understand your hesitation. The Maggie is a bold dress and you really need to be comfortable & confident wearing it. If you feel more comfortable in the DB gown, go for it. I have to agree about the sash…not very impressed with it. But my vote is definitly for the Maggie dress!

What happened to the Charlotte?  I loved that dress on you, still my favorite.

Out of these two I like the DB dress I think better but I think the black sash is too contrasting and distracting from the dress.  The details on the dress are beautiful, especially on the hem, but the sash I think gives it a bit too much of a little bo peep look.

I like that corest.  I think it’s the bow on sashes that I don’t like on sashes but that would eliminate the need for a bow.

I’ll tell you that the DB dress costs a fortune to alter.  There is a LOT of beading so it’s a lot of work for a seamstress to shorten.  My sister wore that dress to her weddign last year and she paid $300 in alterations (bustle, taking it out slightly in the top, and a hem)

If you opt for the DB dress, I would suggest waiting to get it until closer to your wedding since most DB are cash & carry. Don’t trust that you will stay the same size for a year. 🙂

Don’t listen if they try to say “but it’s on sale..” because they have the same exact sale every month. My dress is the same price it’s been since December “on sale”!

@snuggly: I agree. Dress #2 is just lovely on you; it fits well and looks so beautiful. I’d like to see a sash like the one snuggly talks about; perhaps even the same color as the dress and cascading down the back toward the floor. The black sash is too bold and cuts you in half. It seems really distracting, and you want your guests to see YOU not THE SASH or THE DRESS.

The first dress is too much “fru fru”, if you know what I mean. Just an opinion. Happy shopping!

@candy84: I don’t think that the third dress is feathery. It is ruffley. Does your FH not like feathers, ruffles, or both?

I don’t like the DB and I think the first one looks better on you.  To me, you look amazing in it.  I would continue looking for DB dresses that are a bit more flattering if you are concerned about cost.

@ candy84 The DB looks beautiful on you! I love the Maggie one also but The DB is just beautiful.. What you can do is put the dress on layaway and make a decision before the layway days are up to lock down the price.

I love the DB dress much more even w/o considering price.  It looks great on you, and I like the black sash.  I don’t see why anybody would say anything about it being black since colored wedding dresses are in right now and black is one of your colors.  The price could definitely go back up because I know they are having a sale right now.
