No, but I find myself quite logical and not “blindly faithful”, so it takes people a while to earn my trust. I also think that if you asked most people the moment after they first saw their SO, they wouldn’t say it was love at first site, but they would say it was in hindsite. The human brain makes too many errors IMO. It’s a very sweet idea though, and I am sure some people believe in it or feel they have experienced it, so good for them 🙂

Meeting my Fiance was very close to love at first sight.  So, now I have to say YES, I believe in it, because I experienced it.  We were into each other from the moment we met, and have been the same ever since.

I really don’t believe in it at all. You can certainly be attracted to each other and think the other person is great, but full blown love? No.

Nnnno, I would call it lust at first sight.  Not love, but certainly something!

Lol actually the first time I ever saw my future husband was at a high school football game. He was a Sophomore and I was in 7th grade. We both got a ride home from one of my friends mom who was his friend that he was withs aunt. Lol and I was totally in love. I thought he was the most gorgeous guy I had ever seen. Then I met him my freshman year of high school and we’ve been together ever since!

I think you can feel a connection when you first meet someone, but I don’t think it’s love. And I’m not talking about lust, either. I guess I’m thinking chemistry?

For me, love means that you can pee with the door open…and I don’t think I’ve ever heard of anyone meeting that way 🙂

@Sunfire:    Ditto!  When I first saw my husband, I just knew deep down that he was vastly different and special from any other guy that I’d dated.  That feeling has only grown with time!!  🙂  So yeah, I’d have to say that I believe in love at first sight, because like Sunfire, I’ve experienced it!

I don’t believe in love at first sight. Attraction/chemistry/connection? Absolutely. And I do believe that you can fall in love very quickly. But just on seeing someone for the first time? No.

@dodgercpkl:  Yeah, we describe it as though we “remember” each other.  We know we’ve always known each other, on some level, even the night we met we felt that way. And it’s only grown stronger with time.

Maybe it is a combination of lust and chemistry.  But how to explain the connection?  I have met lots of men with whom I’ve had great chemistry and lust.  But the deep emotional connection right from the start is what is different.  We found so many things we had in common, immediately.  And so many “coincidental” things we have a hard time explaining.  The way we met – where and how, where we both work, where we both lived at the time, our basic natures and likes/dislikes, even our birthdays are only two days apart, although he is five years older.  Our circumstances and pasts were so much alike.  We felt like we’d just met our identical twin or something.  The only way I know how to explain it is more than lust at first sight, which I’ve experienced plenty.  But nothing ever like this.  I don’t know exactly what to call it.

I sort of do and have experienced it. When I first saw my Fiance (10 years ago and neither of us were available at the time) It was like getting hit with a sledge hammer. I was overwhelmed with a feeling like I MUST have him. lol. A year or so later timing was better and we were both available… I even got up the guts to get his number and call him, which was somethin I would NEVER do, if you knew the 19 year old version of me.

I guess I’ve always known I wanted him, I think in a way it was love at first sight and I alwasy knew we’d be married some day.

But in highsight…It was just a massive crush at first…it grew from there.
