I totally understand feeling this way. My dress is currently in alterations, 2 months to go, and I feel the same way about my dress right now. I’m desperately hoping I’ll love it down the aisle but if not, then not.
However, I think it looks perfectly elegant and bridal. Forget that bridal gowns need to be all frou-frou, they really don’t need all the bells and whistles.

The dress is beautiful, totally bridal looking, and you look amazing in it!

What they all said, the veil and all the rest will make all the difference . As will the alterations making the top fit properly . Do not doubt your choice !

I think it looks very bridal. It probably doesn’t have that wow factor yet because it hasn’t been altered to fit you exactly, hem and all. Plus accesories, maybe Grecian styled hair and such will help complete the look. Then you will wow.

You look very bridal. In fact much much more traditionally bridal than a bride in a blush beaded mermaid and noone questions those type of dresses. Wear yur lovely dress with pride. It suits you, gives so many accessory options, and bonus- it won’t date very much!

The dress is gorgeous, a timeless style. It defiantly lacks bridal bling though. Choose your accessories wisely to really make you feel bridal and gorgeous. A simple dress can take a bold accessory like a blingy headband, belt, or necklace.

It’s beautiful to me. Can I snatch it from you please if you don’t want it?? hehe

It looks beautiful on you! Most importantly, if you love it and love the way you feel wearing it, then it’s the one for you. “Bridal” means different things to different people. While some people might like the big ballgown with lots of bling and details, others (like myself) might opt for the simpler dress with less details. Either way, as long as it makes YOU happy, you should get it. I love dresses that are understated and elegant.

I think it’s a gorgeous dress that you totally rock! I love understated, flowy, chiffon dresses. It’s plenty bridal.

Oh wow!!! Thank you all so much for your supportive responses, it really means a lot! It is going to be an outdoor wedding in a garden, so that’s another thing I have been unsure about — whether it is the right fit for the scenery. I just envisioned “Greek goddess and flowy” and didn’t consider other things at the time. But really your responses are making me feel better about this purchase. 🙂

It’s gorgeous! I seriously gave a kind of happy sigh at the first picture with the flowers, because the effect is just so elegant and romantic. Perfect for a garden wedding! I’m not really sure what defines ‘bridal’, but I don’t see why this isn’t! Wedding dresses don’t all have to be enormous ballgowns. Sometimes less is more. Besides, once you have your hair done up and get some beautiful jewellery it will be just perfect.

nonablu: Thank you!! That is so sweet of you! I am still having doubts about it a week later. I was feeling great about it at the time, but now I keep thinkin that my fiance will be disappointed once he sees me in it. It helps to hear these supportive responses!!! I have to keep telling myself there are other things to worry about now… such as the photographer. 🙂
