I love my fiance. I really do. But I have to admit, sometimes he drives me nuts. I still love him and laugh when he drives me crazy but sheesh!
So what’s got me right now is the music. One of the only things I put him in charge of (that and the tux, only things he has to figure out). He wanted his two bands to play at the wedding. No big deal at all, they are both great. I gave him the songs we need.
My fiance wants to sing me a song at our reception, Everlong by the Foo Fighters. We also need the bridal march for the ceremony and someone needs to download the Lakota Wedding Flute Song for the ceremony as well. And we need someone to sing happy birthday to my daughters best friend at the reception. Those are the only things I’m particular about and up until last night my fiance was on the same page as me about all of this. The rest of the songs we’re not worried about at all.
So yesterday he says “We can just use an Ipod for the flute song and the bridal march” the flute song, yeah I figured that since no one knows how to play native american flute. But the bridal march, really?
Then he says he doesn’t think either one of them will play Everlong and he doesn’t think either one will want to sing happy birthday. I’m not picky, not at all, but these were the only songs we need for the wedding and reception and now I’m being told they wont be played unless it’s with an ipod, so now I’m wondering why we are even having a band and why we don’t just use an ipod? He got two bands and out of the two no one is willing to play even one of the songs we need?
I’m telling him that he needs to sort it out and figure out who is playing what and when. But he doesn’t seem to want to. So what I see happening is the wrong music will be played during the ceremony and during the reception half the time will be spent trying to figure out who plays when since he hasn’t come up with a set schedule. He just thinks they need to show up and just play. I ask him what order and he says “I don’t know”
I only gave him two things, the music and getting fit for his tux. That’s it!We are 10 days away from the wedding, I have about 20 quizzes due before the wedding in school and have a ton of DIY and organizing to do before the wedding, I don’t have time to deal with this.
What do I do?!
