I decided to comment again (now that I’m on my computer and not my tablet) so that I could post a vintage ERing picture.

These are NOT my rings. This is my mother’s wedding set. I don’t know any of the specs as far as the setting and diamonds go. Back when they got engaged, my dad bought the rings from a family-owned jewelry store. The people who owned it were like a second mom and dad to him. I don’t think he ever asked any of the ring’s details; he probably didn’t think to. And I know my mom never asked, either. She mentioned that she used to have a certificate or something that told about the ring, but I think she lost it. She and my dad have been married (so far) for 56 years. And this has been on her hand the whole time. My whole life, this set symbolized many of the ideals of love and marriage for me, so it’s super special.

Here is my vintage, Art Deco beauty from the early 1920s.  It’s a .36 OEC with sapphires in a 14k white gold filigree setting.  I love it!  My wedding ring is also an Art Deco ring.

Not an e-ring, rather a RHR that I got for my 21st. Vintage amethyst with diamond halo in white and yellow gold. Amethyst is my birthstone.

Here is my e-ring. It was my grandmothers and I BELIEVE she got it from my grandpa in the 50’s or so (not original e-ring for her… they eloped and lived apart for at least a year before their families knew – I’m not sure what she used back then in the late 20s and early 30s when they were young!). I’m guessing it was the 50s as after my grandpa got home from the war, he went into real estate and was really sucessful at that – Seems like a good time to me for an upgrade!

I love vintage jewelry and have always dreamed of owning an art deco ring. Sigh, someday!
