I’m doing it! Either red, or i’m going to edge the crinoline in black satin ribbon.
I have to do this! Even my FH loves this idea. I will do it in blue so that it can match our wedding colors and serve as my something blue.
elliemae – You can get a crinoline especially made for mermaid/trumpet gowns. Usually a trumpet gown looks better with one because it keeps the bottom poofed out nicely.
I originally didn’t want a crinoline on mine, but am now toying with the idea of getting a not-so-full one just so I can dye it!
I’ve never seen this before, I love it! How very cute and colorful!
@ejoyb: I have a front load and I am going to put it in the bleach dispenser. Hopefully that will work.
I just checked the RIT dye site, and it looks like they also have the dye in a powder, so depending on what color you are looking for, if you have a front loading machine, you might try the powder, instead of the liquid.
Yup, it adds a lot of fun to the dress. It wouldn’t work with mine though! lol. I love that image of the short dress and multiple colors! THAT’S fun!
I dyed my crinny purple. Here is the link to my blog.

I am probably the most excited to show Fiance this the day of the wedding.
This bride was featured on a bunch of wedding blogs sometime ago. So bright and happy!
Wow that’s sooo pretty. But I think I’m too attached to the shoes I have in mind. And I wouldn’t want to take away from those. 😀
I love it, though it looks like I’m going to have to DIY on this one.
I saw a bride recently who had it and it looked so gorgeous.
oooooh! That looks fun. You have to have the right dress to do it though.
I really really love this look! I am seriously considering it, although I don’t know if I’ll be wearing a crinoline under my dress.
