I would try to search classifieds for used ones.  You will have a SUPER hard time finding new ones at that price point that are large enough to be centerpieces.  We got our lanters at Pottery Barn.  They were slightly larger than your first picture but very similar looking and they were $39.  We did half lanters and half floral centerpieces so we considered the lanters a steal compared to the florals that were $125 a piece!

If you’re set on these? Cut money out of something else b/c they’re hard to find for less than 15 bucks. I think 20-40 each is good actually. Try to get them used from the classifieds, craigslist, ebay (local, so you can save on shipping costs) or from a store that sells in bulk. In an actual store, try Homegoods or Ross.

On the plus side – these are an easy re-sell and also easy to decorate with in your home. you could even regift these to friends and family that would appreciate. If i got this as a gift leftover from a wedding i’d be so pumped – i have 2 already but could use another b/c they’re sweet.

I second @melissabegins suggestion to give them as gifts after the wedding.  My parents, his parents and our siblings (as well as us) each took one or two home and they are great to use outdoors.

@ wingsofhopegirl – even the gigantic version (When I bought mine, I saw them, and they are WAY too big to use as a centre piece for an 8-person round table) are only $15 – I might buy a couple to use as decorations for the ceremony (maybe a couple spread out over the length of the aisle). FH is toying with etching the glass on them to add a design – but when we did our mock-up, it looked really nice as is, with some votives scattered on the table as well.

The only thing to note – with 3 candles inside (as shown in your inspiration pic) the lanterns got soooo hot – we are only using 1 candle inside, because with 3 candles, the wax on the candles was so soft near the bases that it was pliable!
