tantan :  That’s tough but could be worth a try. I’d just make sure to do it quickly with back-to-back cycles given your age. Also, you can get loans for IVF. We financed one cycle because the interest rates were so low (around 3%) so I’d look into that before writing it off entirely. Good luck!!

tantan :  What is the SA like? I too have low AMH (0.1) and borderline awful sperm counts. My normal Afc was 2-4, and we did 6 rounds of iui with femara. I had between 1-4 mature follicles each time. Surprisingly, even with horrible counts of 2 million motile sperm, we got pregnant. It sadly ended in MC but I still found it hopeful that it can work. We ended up needing 2 egg retrievals and 2 transfers before finally another pregnancy. I’m now 15 weeks.

tantan :  I actually had the opposite issue — normal AMH but abmornal FSH — and it worked for us on the 3rd try. I don’t know if that would be comparable though. Sending good luck and good thoughts your way!

I’m currently in the same boat.  My AMH is very low (0.103) and I’m on month 4 of Clomid, this month I was upped to 150mg.  I have a 3 year old but I’ve been pregnant 3 times, so this low AMH came as a total shock to me.  IVF has not been mentioned to me yet, right now we’re doing clomid and timed intercourse.

Good luck!

My AMH was .74 and we got pregnant on our third clomid IUI. My husband has low testosterone so was on Clomid as well to boost his sperm count. I was 35 when I gave birth.

Update: My first round of Clomid worked and I had two large/ripe eggs. Got my trigger shot this morning and will get my first IUI tomorrow! Can I do anything today or tomorrow to up my chances? Thanks!
