You could rent a cute house on the beach with a great deck and get married there ๐Ÿ™‚

Where are you located? Santa Barbara California has a beautiful courthouse, and you could all go to a nice restaurant afterwards ๐Ÿ™‚

If you like the beach house rental idea, I do have a website to recommend. frbo.com  which is a for rent by owner website. I see they have a few nice ocean front rentals in Southern California, you can get by the day. My fiances family rented a fantastic beach house in South Carolina over the summer and it would have been perfect for a small intimate wedding (not the circus I got going on! LOL). If you aren’t into the sand, maybe on a deck overlooking the ocean?

I wish you the best with your wedding plans!

How about a Cruise wedding. You can get married before the ship set sails and have some of your people there, then they leave.. and you are off on a honeymoon. ๐Ÿ™‚

Also, some of the all inclusive resorts include the wedding and many have some really nice areas on the property to get married.

Good Luck!

FH and I are having reception/ceremony at a restaurant – we bought out the place for the evening… It was about the same price (or less) than other venues. It’s small, intimate, elegant.

I vote for the deck of an oceanfront home.  We did a similar thing on the opposite coast but actually got married on the beach itself and had the reception on the deck.  Ten we stayed the week with our kids for the first of our honeymoons.
