Any type of fruit, apples, mandarines, bananas with a bit of nuts, i really like hazelnuts. small portion of cheese with mini tomatos and maybe a few olives.

For lunch I usually take left overs from dinner, and we usually eat pretty healthy.  Some lunch ideas are soups, sandwitches, pasta salad, fish with brown rice, stir fry’s with noodles or brown rice.

Humus is also a good option as long as you have a very small portion.  Also peanut butter and banana sandwitch.  That’s all I can think of for now.

Air popped popcorn. You can season it with spices.

I usually do fruit for snacks. Carrots & hummus or bolthouses’s greek yogurt dressings are good. cottage cheese is a really good snack too. Yesterday i had carrots w/ a cheese stick for my snack.

Another favorite that i haven’t made in awhile is to cut an apple, spinkle cinnamon on it, and microwave it for about a min or so until it gets nice and soft. It tastes just like an applie pie/crisp without any of the extra add ons. soo good! I LOVE doing this in the fall. It’s the best.

I lost 40 pounds before my wedding by finding stuff like this to satisfy me!

FutureMrsW2015:  Pop it at work, ideally, you can do loose popcorn in a paper bag, actually!  But I’m sure you could pop a bunch at home and portion it into sandwhich bags.

my favorite snacks are hardboiled eggs, babybel cheese, and almonds (i usually even have all three for lunch). I’ll also eat a couple spoonfuls of peanut butter if I’m craving something a little sweet. Not really low on calories, but it keeps me satisfied, which is more important to me than eating low calorie foods all day.

Be careful, almonds and peanuts aren’t really “low calorie.” Actually they are very high calorie and common diet downfalls because they are good for you and so people don’t closely monitor their portion. But good for you doesn’t equal low calorie. Not that you shouldn’t eat them, but I’d buy the 100 cal pre-portioned bags of nuts (or measure your serving with a food scale. And then be sad at how few nuts that actually is).

I don’t snack much, but I have string cheese, a few almonds, or  various fruits in between meals.

FutureMrsW2015:  I usually eat 4 cups of veggies a day, it helps keep me full.  Drink lots and LOTS of water — you can infuse it with lemon, cucumber, mint, etc.  I also love plain or vanilla greek yogurt with 2 teaspoons of peanut butter.  Try picking new fruits and veggies when you’re at the grocery store, it will help to make eating healthy more interesting! πŸ™‚

pumilionis:  So true, I portion my almonds into the serving size 1/4 cup, or however many grams and it’s usually around 170 calories.

Everyone else has already said my snack ideas haha

-Fruit

-Dairy; yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese

-Nuts

-Veggies

If it’s during AF though sometimes I’ll portion out cookies or whatever it is you usually crave. Typically a serving size is two cookies so I’ll put two in a ziploc bag and take them to work. Then eat them slowly with coffee and really enjoy them. It takes away that sweetness craving without allowing me to go overboard.

FutureMrsW2015: Apple slices dipped in Almond butter! It’s my fave because it’s tastey and the mix of fiber and protein is really satisfying πŸ™‚
