I have been on a low carb, low sugar diet for the last three weeks and have drop a full 10lbs and that is without any added excersise. I am over the moon right now, my jeans actually fit again and my love handles are almost gone. I have one more week on the diet, before I start bring back in heathly carbs, I pray I don’t gain it all back, but I will be excersising more as the weather gets nicer :).

(Get ready to have a lot of people tell you it’s water weight, which I hate because that’s what the initial poundage is on ALL diets, not just LC…)
Congrats! I did LC & didn’t gain the weight back after I upped my carbs. I still don’t eat grains for the most part, but I eat plenty of sweet potatoes & squash & other veggie carbs.

My standard weight is what I now weigh, I just packed on the pounds eating junk food over the christmas and v-day holidays lol, it may be water weight but whatever I am happy at the moment lol.

Congrats!!! That’s awesome. I’ve been doing a low fat, low sugar/carb diet for a month and have also lost 10 pounds. It feels great!

@Katnisseverdeen: We have been sticking to eggs with veggies mixed in for breakfast mostly, occasionally a fruit smoothie. lunch is a salad with a meat of some type (chicken, salmon, tuna, etc) on top and light dressing, vanilla yougurt with frozen berries and flax. I have some veggies, fruit, nuts for in between snacks if I am hungry. Dinner is meat and veggies. We did break down and go out for icecream one night but we have been really good otherwise.
The reason we are trying this was just to give my Fiance some motivation to get back in shape, while it is in no way a fix all it is a starting place for us. And I just wanted to lose my christmas gain lol. He started mixed martial arts last week, so is now on cloud nine and motivated to keep going.
