@carrien1053:  I have looked at that site but never came across those ones! I’m going to meet with my florist and see how she thinks we can incorporate them. I liked the other ones, too, the set of 3 grouped together. Will you only do 1 vase per table with flowers in it? I’m thinking I might want to do a candle on each table, + flowers, + table #. It is hard to visualize without arranging them on a table! We are date-twins! Keep me posted on the DIY and check out the dollar tree for cheap clear vases.

I will be DIY-ing my centerpiece vases to look like mercury glass. Half of my tables will have silver candelabras and the other half will have 20″ tall glass vases with branches, so I am adding the mercury glass effect to tie in the silver with the candelabras.

I got 10 of these vases: http://www.save-on-crafts.com/tallsquare.html

And bought this spray paint from Hobby Lobby: http://www.krylon.com/products/looking_glass_mirror_like_paint/

I will go along the lines of this tutorial: http://www.takethesidestreet.com/2010/11/faux-mercury-glass-tutorial.html

I am doing this next week when I go home to see my mom so I’ll probably write a post about my experience πŸ™‚

@carrien1053:  I have pinterest and have only used it once, I have been hesitant to pin things because I don’t want wedding stuff feeding into my facebook, but message me your name on there and I will try to look it up! I haven’t mapped out all the flower details yet, still need to meet up with flower lady… but I have some ideas – greens, blues, white,  some orchids – not sure about the wild purple/blue ones below – nothing overly “girly” or too much purple (fiance is really wanting to help pick the flowers….and being shockingly picky about it so who knows what we will agree on) and I am going to try to sneak in a peacock feather or 2.

@carrien1053:  Haven’t picked out the table @ things yet, but was thinking old picture frames – all depends on how this flower/mercury glass thing pans out

Michaels has votives 6 for 7.99 without a coupon, Also TJMaxx has a great selection. I made my own with glass spray paint and vinager and water spray. So easy plus I made some cake plates.Found my spray paint at Walmart 7.00
