Hi Hive.. Anyone doing a low country boil for their wedding meal? We have decided to change our plans and are renting a beach house and want more of a laid back feel. We are running into an issue as to who will do the cooking.. I’m assuming my dad will want to do it but I’m not sure I want him slaving over all the pots.. I’m wondering if we should just hire someone or ask one of our friends. Thoughts?

Do you have a sticky fingers around you? They can cater for a low country boil and its not very expensive and its super yummy! We looked into this for our Rehearsal Dinner.

Thanks June! FI’s family has a connection so we are getting the seafood for wicked cheap so we are avoiding using a caterer.

Someone on Budget Savvy Bride had a low country boil. Looked soooo good. It actually looks like they did pretty much what you’re thinking, except in South Carolina. The wedding is on this website, do a search in the bar on the right for ‘low country boil’, it was very pretty:

We are using Rocco’s Seafood for our craab boil—welcome/rehersal inner. Not sure what area you are in. He is in Ft. Walton. message me if thats your area.
