We’re just going to drive to two spots about 3 hours away. I’m unemployed at the moment and I don’t feel comfortable spending a lot of money on a vacation. In a few years we can go on a bigger vacation. 🙂

Our honeymoon was most certainly low key. We stayed a night at a gorgeous B&B in the woods then stayed the rest of the time at a cabin in the Adirondacks. I can’t imagine taking an action packed honeymoon after a year of wedding planning. We really needed the peace and quiet.

money is an issue so we’re probably going to do a mini moon (we’re in Los Angeles) up to Santa Barbara or the central coast for a few days. then hopefully we can have a nicer baby moon when we get pregnant and have had a chance to save a little.

i am all for the low-key honeymoon!  We are having a semi-destination wedding in New Orleans, so we are staying there for an extra day after the wedding, then renting a beachhouse in GulfShores/OrangeBeach/FortMorgan.  We are going to eat gobs of seafood, walk on the (cold-ish) beach (it will be december), shop at outlet malls, and just overall chill.  We are also going to be celebrating Christmas at that time, with probably a tiny artificial tree of sorts.

valentinebride2015:  We had few extra days off work after our wedding to decompress and are going on our honeymoon later this month (so 2-3 months after our wedding). We were thinking of going to Jordan for our honeymoon, but realised that if we did, we would feel obliged to visit ALL THE THINGS. Instead, we opted to go to Curacao, as neither of us have been in the region, and while there’s enough to do for a 10 day trip, we hopefully won’t feel as rushed to see everything as we would have somewhere else.

we’re getting married on new years eve and we have kids. those two things alone are really weighing on our honeymoon decision. we’ll most likely do a staymoon. we’re already getting married in an adorable b&b style hotel so I was thinking we can just stay there on our wedding night and the night after. giving us time to have brunch with our oot guest before they leave, relax, maybe catch a show just be lazy and happy and married. then there’s a fab hotel and restaurant a few hrs away we’ve always wanted to visit (the inn at little washington) so we could do that saturday and by sunday head on back home pick up our kids and get back to our lives without having spent too much or having the kids miss school or putting anyone out to have to get them back and forth to school.

along with the logistics our dream honeymoon location is istanbul and we dont want to go in the dead of winter so pushing it back to summer break when the kids are with the grandparents just makes sense for us.
