When my Fiance and I went to the jeweler, he suggested that he would make a low mount solitaire for my engagement. He says that it doesn’t get torn so often and it’s easier to deal with on an everyday basis. I accept that on the beginning I envisioned a high mount ring and that I can be extremely clumsy. But I can honestly say that after having my precious engagement for almost a year, being so close to start wearing my plain white gold wedding band it was most definitely the best choice. I never hit my ring and it never gets stuck anywhere. I would love to know your opinion, and pics PLEASE!

Sorry for the lighting, stupid iphone pic! Mine is also a low mount and I love it! I knew I didn’t want something that stuck out bc I always hit my hands on stuff! I still have banged it around a couple of times, but not as much as if it were taller!

@memo1012: it’s so pretty! I voted other because I wouldn’t consider mine to be high or low. It’s right in the middle. I don’t snag it on anything and I don’t recollect ever hitting it Either.

Mine is as low as it can go. The diamond is literally resting on the bottom of the basket.

Low mount settings are so practical and comfortable. They’re the way to go! I know that because I have a high setting. lol.

Low setting was one of my only requirements. I think my setting is pretty low! Its really comfortable and I never snag it on anything.
